This year's Thrive Lowcountry Women's Conference will be held Sept. 26-27 at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa. The event will feature a keynote address by Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, South Carolina's first Republican female lieutenant governor.

Presented by SCORE Lowcountry Chapter and the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, the third annual conference will bring together women from the region to learn, engage, inspire and network.

The conference includes the first-ever BizPitch competition on Sept. 26. In a format similar to television's "Shark Tank," female entrepreneurs will compete to win prizes that will help them expand or start their businesses.

The weekend event will include in-depth workshops on such topics as developing a business plan, internet marketing and selling, how to get a book published, how to maximize social media, and more.

A welcome reception will be held Thursday evening, when BizPitch finalists will be announced.

The keynote speaker at the Friday luncheon is South Carolina Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette. The first republican lieutenant governor, she is also the CEO of Quality Business Solutions, a national payroll processing firm ranked as one of the state's most profitable private companies.

Cost for the full conference is $139 by Aug. 15, or $149 thereafter. For more information and to register, visit hiltonheadblufftonchamber.org/thrive-2019.
