Brad Buckler, M.D. has been named the Physician-in-Chief for the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital of Savannah.

Buckler is a practicing neonatologist and corporate medical director for MEDNAX, Inc./Pediatrix Medical Group of Georgia.

Buckler is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and completed his pediatric residency and a neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia Children's Medical Center.

He has practiced in Memorial's Level III neonatal intensive care nursery since July 2010. Buckler serves as the medical director for the neonatal transport services and is also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at both the Medical College of Georgia and Mercer University School of Medicine - Savannah Campus.

He is active in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Section of Perinatal Pediatrics.

Aunt Laurie's of Bluffton was one of 11 national winners receiving the Outstanding Community Impact Business Award, presented by SCORE, mentors to America's small businesses.

Winners were honored at the ninth annual SCORE Awards Gala Sept. 14 at Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in McLean, Va.

This year's SCORE Award recipients were chosen based on their business success, positive community impact and strong relationship with their SCORE mentor.

Laurie Brown, founder and owner of Aunt Laurie's, has been working with local SCORE mentor Rod Casavant.

Launched in 2015, Aunt Laurie's is a Bluffton-based national e-retailer committed to helping local businesses and people with special needs by offering a unique collection of products and gift baskets made, assembled, and shipped by individuals with disabilities.

Isaac McBroom has joined the staff of Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) as director of development.

His responsibilities will include the scheduling and coordination of all PTR certification workshops in the USA, and ensuring that workshops are held in all 50 states each year.

McBroom began coaching as a teenager. As a young man, he was the director of tennis for his hometown's Youth Athletic Association.

In 2001, he graduated with a degree in Health Fitness from Gustavus Adolphus College, where he was captain of the men's tennis team. After graduation, he moved to San Diego, Calif., where he co-founded an academy at the Barnes Tennis Center.

In 2013, he began working with the Junior Performance Programs for Life Time Fitness and later was was named National Coach's Education Lead.

In 2016, he became a PTR clinician to deliver coach education, and in 2017, was named PTR Member of the Year for Minnesota and earned PTR Master of Tennis - Performance.

Jennifer Wolfe with TrueFit Pilates and Training Center recently attended the 2017 DoTerra Global Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Wolfe, MS, CSCS, PMA-CPT has more than two decades of experience teaching fitness, Pilates and nutrition. Wolfe is passionate about guiding and coaching clients to achieving their health-related goals.

DoTerra International, LLC produces and distributes high quality therapeutic grade essential oils through independent distributors around the world.

Based in Bluffton since 2010, TrueFit Pilates & Training Center offers fitness and nutrition instruction for individuals, as well as group classes and personal training.

  • Kathy Stanas has joined J. Banks Design Group as an associate for the firm's retail store located at 35 Main St.

Stanas has more than 30 years of experience in retail sales and management. In her new role for J. Banks Design, she will assist customers and design clients with selection of furniture, art, home décor and gifts. Stanas will also help design the store's displays.

  • Construction Management Services of Beaufort LLC (CMS) has expanded their offerings from commercial construction management services to residential building and remodeling under the name Hohl Homes.

Danielle Hohl has been named director of Home Building Services at Hohl Homes. The company provides both custom home building as well as renovations on current homes.

Kevin Lydon, general contractor and founder of CMS, will continue to oversee the commercial end of the company while Hohl will oversee and work with the residential clients, as well as continue in her role as project administrator at CMS.

  • Kathy Garino and Phillip Kent have joined Multiple Listing Service of Hilton Head Island (HHIMLS).

As the accounting manager, Garino is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, state and vendor reporting, annual audits, inventory, and overall general bookkeeping.

Most recently employed as an office manager for a public attorney, Garino and her family moved to Hilton Head Island from the Atlanta area. They have three sons, the oldest in college.

Kent joined HHIMLS as a member services associate. He is responsible for providing support on all HHIMLS technology-based products, maintaining relationships with MLS members, assisting new members, maintaining the database, and providing technical assistance.

Kent has a keen understanding of internet technology. He previously worked as a business development company associate and before that, at a digital marketing firm.

Kent moved to Hilton Head Island to work with HHIMLS. He has several certifications in Google Adwords and has completed numerous continuing education courses in online advertising, e-commerce, and marketing in the digital age.
