Sarah Ansboury has joined Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort as its pickleball touring professional and director of pickleball instruction.

A nationally ranked tennis player, Ansboury discovered pickleball in 2014 and was instantly hooked. She entered her first national pickleball tournaments in 2015 and earned gold and silver at the September 2015 Tournament of Champions.

In November, she medaled four times at the USAPA National Tournament, including winning gold in the Women's Doubles Open with her friend and partner, Gigi LeMaster.

For most of Ansboury's professional career, she has lived in the Portland, Oreg., area. As a member of the U.S. Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), she has benefitted from continuing education on fitness, racket sport body mechanics, instructional methods and sports psychology.

She applied this education as a private tennis instructor, teaching club members and elite junior athletes, as well as a NCAA women's tennis coach. Ansboury also competed nationally at the Open level as well as 5.5 rated leagues in the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA).

The USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) and Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) have formed a strategic alliance to grow the sport of Pickleball. The new PTR subsidiary (PPR) will become the official education and certification partner of the USAPA. Ansboury has agreed to design the PPR's curriculum and certification programs.

Matt Little has joined Alexander's Restaurant and Wine Bar as its chef de cuisine.

Among Little's previous experience is a position as executive sous chef at the Westin Richmond, Va., and most recently as the culinary associate team leader for Whole Foods.

Little will be working alongside executive chef Sean Carroll.

Little was on the front side of the service industry as a server for many years before joining the construction field. About a decade ago, he began leading the kitchen at a bar and grill restaurant. Realizing he would need more training if he wanted to pursue a professional culinary career, Little attended the Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated with honors.

Originally from Omaha, Neb., Little attended Syracuse University while earning a varsity letter playing soccer.

Justin Perry has joined International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) of Bluffton as chief executive officer of Premier Corporate Professional Services, LLC, an entity that provides a range of services, including legal, accounting, human resources and IT support for IJGA, Bishops Gate Golf Academy of Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla., and the Heritage Academy on Hilton Head Island.

Perry will be directly responsible for legal compliance, insurance, risk management and transactional dealings for these and other related entities. In addition, he will oversee the accounting, HR and IT departments.

Perry brings 20 years of experience in legal and business matters to the organization. Most recently, he held the general counsel position for four years at CoastalStates Bank, based on Hilton Head. Perry also served as an in-house attorney for four years with State Bank & Trust, based in Macon, Ga., and before that, five years with Silverton Bank (aka The Bankers Bank) which was based in Atlanta.

Prior to his entry into the banking arena, Perry maintained a business law practice with a Macon-based law firm and clerked for a Federal District Court judge.

Perry attended the United States Air Force Academy for the first two years of college then transferred to Emory University's Goizueta School of Business, from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing and finance. He received his law degree from Mercer University.

Perry lives on Hilton Head and will have an on-site office at IJGA's campus in Bluffton.

Dawn Vosbury and Angela DeCaire recently joined the staff of Relics Estate Sales and Consignments in Bluffton.

Vosbury, a Lowcountry resident since 2007, will handle administration duties and help Relics' growing online sales system. She is a former Realtor and understands "life-altering events and the needs that follow." She worked in real estate sales and marketing in the historic German Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio, prior to moving to South Carolina.

Vosbury now lives in Beaufort with her only son, Jack.

DeCaire has been hired as an e-commerce specialist. She has an extensive background in eBay sales, particularly in the areas of estate jewelry, designer bags and fashion.

DeCaire is an artisan jewelry designer, as well as a licensed property and casualty insurance agent in Georgia and South Carolina. She is also a "lover of rescue dogs and all things vintage."
