  • Lowcountry Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce the addition of Rev. Stephanie Dion as associate pastor.

Stephanie Dion

Originally from Dunedin, Fla., Dion graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion degree from Florida Southern College and received her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts degrees in Christian Education from Princeton Theological Seminary.

She did field education at two Presbyterian churches, and also co-pastored a small church while a student, developing her worship leadership, Christian education and pastoral care skills.

In addition to assisting Rev. Chris Herrin in all these areas, Dion will focus on developing programs for young adults and young families while helping the church reach out into the community to share the good news of God's love in word and action to people of all ages.

  • Lowcountry Presbyterian Church's Caring for Creation Fellowship Dinner, sponsored by the Green Team, will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 12 at the church, 1- Simmonsville Road.

The guest speaker is Rikki Parker from the Beaufort staff of the Coastal Conservation League. Guests can learn about what each of us can do to protect God's gift to us of the Lowcountry environment.
