How brokers work to help real estate agents get homes sold

    Print

Real estate brokers own and operate real estate companies. Real estate sales associates are hired by brokers and are independent agents of the company.

Even though they are associated with a brokerage, these agents are responsible for almost every aspect of running their own business.

While these agents work hard and smart to get listings, bring buyers to the area, and sell homes, it is the job of the brokers to set the stage and help their agents sell homes and find buyer prospects. This includes satisfying the real estate needs of all brokerage clients.

In a way, it's like the movie business. The agents are like actors, the brokers resemble producers and directors, and they all have work together to get and keep getting outstanding results.

Brokers do the following to help their agents list and sell real estate:

• offer full brokerage services to give their clients the competitive advantage

• utilize conventional real estate marketing methodologies to get properties sold

• maximize online marketing and advertising to promote all company listings

• maximize print marketing and advertising to promote all company listings

• utilize effective websites to showcase properties and obtain prospective buyers

• encourage agents to utilize social media to promote properties that are for sale

• implement sound office policies that expedite the sale and purchase of real estate

• utilize state-of-the-art methodologies to help sellers sell and buyers buy

• provide brokerage support to ensure smooth transactions and problem-free closings

Additionally, brokers also provide "best practices" training and support to their agents, so that their agents can always offer their clients the best marketing and selling strategies.

A broker's biggest challenge is to keep the sales team savvy, proactive, productive and always up-to-date on the local real estate market - in other words, to provide the highest level of customer service to its company's real estate clients and customers.

This team approach helps generate buyers, sell listed homes, and gives clients the competitive real estate advantage.

The bottom line is that when real estate agents and brokers work together effectively, homes and other kinds of properties get listed in the right price range and get sold in a timely manner.
