Matthew Hasbrouck has been named incoming chief operating officer at Memorial Health, effective upon closing of the hospital's integration into HCA Healthcare South Atlantic Division.
"With the selection of Matt as incoming COO, we are one step closer to solidifying our long-term leadership to take Memorial Health into a very successful future," said interim CEO Kerry Watson.
Upon completion of the integration, Hasbrouck will assume the role of COO. In the coming weeks, he will be working closely with Watson and with incoming Chief Executive Officer Shayne George on transition planning.
Hasbrouck started his HCA Healthcare career at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City before being promoted to serve as COO for the South Atlantic Division's Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Ga. For the past two years, he has served in the COO role for HCA's Trident Medical Center in Charleston.
During his tenure at Trident, Hasbrouck expanded the hospital's elite cardiac, cancer and stroke services, including the launch of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), the Watchman Device Program and stroke Endovascular services.
Most recently, Hasbrouck guided the Trident Cancer Center in the launch of a comprehensive, integrated breast multidisciplinary clinic that ensures recently diagnosed patients and their families meet with the full treatment team within the first week after diagnosis to discuss the most effective treatment plan.
Hasbrouck earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Minnesota and his Masters of Healthcare Administration at the University of North Carolina.
