Sun on the Street

With this feature, we seek to capture a glimpse of what your neighbors have to say about a variety of topics, issues, events - and just plain fun questions.

You might find us anywhere around Bluffton with a camera and note pad, asking simple questions and looking for thoughtful answers. If we find you, we hope you will want to participate.

At the Bluffton Farmers Market, we asked, "If every month had its own color, what would be the color of April?"

Mike Cochran, Summerville (selling strawberries): "Red, because of the strawberries. It's peak season."

Farmer Joe King, Portal, Ga. (selling organic produce): "I would say green, because a lot of the produce is covering the ground. You got corn, okra, green beans ..."

Kim Tavino, Hilton Head Island: "Yellow and green come to mind, because spring has sprung and the pollen has begun."

Karen Zaorski, Wolcott, Conn.: "April would be a bright, cheerful, spring green. Although, nothing has opened up in Connecticut yet."

Ki Coleman, Bluffton (20 minutes before a rain shower): "Today, I'd have to say the color is gray. Why? Look up."
