Town of Bluffton to remove two buildings on Boundary Street

    Print

The Town of Bluffton has begun demolition to remove two structures in the Historic District. One is a brick duplex fronting Boundary Street and the other, a small apartment, fronts Green Street.

The area is being planned for additional parking and green open space.

Demolition is scheduled to be complete by early October.

Parking along Lawrence Street should be minimally affected. All work will take place during normal daylight working hours. Large trucks and equipment will be using Boundary Street, and signage will inform the public of construction activity in the area.

The work includes the installation of erosion control fencing and tree protection as the two structures, selected trees, fencing and adjacent walks and patios are removed. The demolition site will be graded and permanently stabilized with grass upon completion.

The construction area will not be accessible to the public, and the public is asked to remain a safe distance from activity and equipment.
