More than 25 million Americans experience some level of joint discomfort. If hip or knee pain is keeping you from doing the things you enjoy, you are not alone.
To help consumers learn about solutions, Beaufort Memorial Hospital will host a free joint pain class at 1 p.m. Nov. 11 and again Nov. 18 at Beaufort Memorial Bluffton Medical Services at 11 Arley Way in Westbury Park.
Physical therapist and orthopedic care coordinator Andrea Sadler will discuss options that are currently available.
Sadler will discuss joint anatomy and symptoms of joint-related problems, and will provide information about treatments to relieve or resolve pain that can be personalized for specific needs.
Options include in-home exercises, medical management, physical therapy, as well as surgery. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers.
The seminar is free, but registration is required as space is limited. To learn more or make a reservation, visit BeaufortMemorial.org/JointPainClass or call 843-522-5585.
