Gwendolyn Busby, recruiter at Coastal Employment, and Carrie Perez, recruiter at Coastal Employment, recently received the Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) designation from the American Staffing Association.

Prior to coming onboard with Coastal Employment, Busby worked for a local home store warehouse for nine years. There she was an active diversity and inclusion administrator.

She became Fork Lift Certified, was a Safety Committee member and and active participant in community do-it-yourself projects and children’s workshops.

A graduate of Oral Roberts University in communications, Perez has seven years experience with IMAX Corporation at the corporate and international level, as sales manager and account executive.

She has been in the recruitment industry for five years.

Kelly Goldsmith has joined the staff of Relics Estate Sales and Consignments as a personal property appraiser.

She brings more than 20 years of appraisal and liquidation experience to the Relics team.

As a generalist appraiser, Goldsmith has specialized experience in furniture, fine art and decorative arts of the 18th through 21st centuries.

She discovered her interest in all things old while attending an estate sale for the first time in the 1990s.

She previously worked for another appraiser, teacher and mentor where she discovered a love of learning and the relevance of antiques and history.

Goldsmith enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for historic relics with others and helping to educate about the importance of tangible assets and heritage.

As an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers, Goldsmith’s reports are written to current industry, ISA and USPAP standards.

Chloe Butler has joined Art League of Hilton Head as its new gallery assistant.

She will provide administrative support in the gallery, work alongside the general manager to coordinate the day-to-day tasks of the gallery, and facilitate artist correspondence.

Previously, Butler worked for a variety of businesses, ranging from a multi-partner law firm to independent art publications.

From a very young age, her passion has been for the arts, consuming all media possible while visiting museums and learning in the field whenever opportunities presented themselves.

Butler began her higher education at Missouri State University, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in art history and linguistics. She plans to continue her education and seek a Master’s in art history.

Aside from her work and study in visual arts, she is a proponent of STEM research and space travel, and is a member of The Planetary Society. In her spare time, she enjoys ballet, vintage fashion, and folk music.

Originally from Muskogee, Okla., she is a recent Lowcountry transplant with her husband and two cats, Elvira Violet and Bugsy Malone.

Dina Dobrivska was recently promoted to associate barber at Barbers of the Lowcountry.

Dobrivska was the barbershop’s first student to graduate from Lowcountry Barber College. She has been part of the Barbers of the Lowcountry team for four years, and specializes in tight fades and old-fashioned taper cuts.

James Ragland has joined the Haig Point community as executive chef and food and beverage director.

Chef Ragland brings many years of experience to his new position, previously serving as executive chef at Dothan Country Club in Alabama for more than 10 years.

Additionally, Ragland served as the executive chef at country clubs in Alabama and Kentucky. He is an active member of the Culinary Institute of America and holds a degree from Oklahoma State University.
