The Bluffton Firefighter Foundation has found a unique way to raise funds for the organization. It is auctioning off a chance for a family (or other group) of five to ride on a fire truck in the Bluffton Christmas Parade Dec. 7.
In a Nov. 1 press release, Capt. Lee Levesque announced the auction, asking “What could be better than being in the Bluffton Christmas Parade as a family?” The answer is to be riding in a fire truck in the parade.
The auction is being held online at BFFSC.org, the Foundation’s website. Visitors to the site must register for free, then submit a bid by clicking on the “shop” tab.
Bids will be accepted through Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. The winning bidder will be notified via email no later than noon Nov. 27. Details will be worked out with the winner at that time.
The parade will be step off at 10 a.m. Dec. 7 at the corner of Bridge and Pritchard streets.
All proceeds will benefit the Bluffton Firefighter Foundation, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
