Tristen Buettel as Elle and ChaCha Zizzi as Bruiser in the Arts Center’s production of “Legally Blonde.” TR MEDIA WORLD

Last summer, a small tan Chihuahua was found wandering aimlessly down May River Road Bluffton. Starving and emaciated, she was taken to Palmetto Animal League (PAL). ChaCha was adopted a few days later by Jill Zizzi. Since then, the two have been inseparable.

ChaCha recently auditioned and was chosen for the role of Bruiser in the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina’s current production of “Legally Blonde.” Bruiser is the canine sidekick of the lead character Elle, played by Tristen Buettel.

ChaCha is certified as an emotional support (ESA) dog. “She goes everywhere with me, in my bag,” Zizzi said. The pair are often seen around Bluffton or Hilton Head assisting with Zizzi’s pet-sitting service.

ChaCha is friendly, laidback and ready for her role in the limelight. “I like to say she’s gone from stray to stage,” Zizzi said.
