Get the weekend off to a bang at the CRF Sporting Clays Shoot March 10 at the prestigious Forest City Gun Club in Savannah.
This will be the sixth annual fundraising shoot for Children’s Relief Fund, and a great way to spend an afternoon with friends in a unique outdoor setting and doing something a little different.
In many ways, Children’s Relief Fund is the voice of those who can’t “speak” as loudly. We are dedicated to raising money to promote a better and more purposeful life for special needs individuals.
“I wanted to support the special needs community by offering a fun venue,” said Capt. Fuzzy Davis, a founding member of the Sporting Clays Shoot. “It’s a great opportunity to experience the adventure of the sport at an exclusive club and enjoy the camaraderie of a small gathering.”
Children’s Relief Fund and Pockets Full of Sunshine have teamed together to benefit the special needs adult population. Pockets Full of Sunshine (PFS) is a relatively new non-profit aimed to increase opportunities for local special needs adults.
Through providing inclusive employment opportunities for exceptional individuals, PFS hopes to increase their exposure and interaction with the community as well as provide them with increased independence, growth and a sense of personal pride.
PFS was inspired by recycled material from an automotive label company that looks like a small yellow sunshine. The sunshine’s are re-purposed by adults with disabilities who turn them into a variety of creative, functional items to sell at community events.
The event will include the popular BBQ lunch and post-shoot awards and recognition, reception and silent auction. The day includes a shooting exhibition, and a 100 target, four-person team shoot.
A beginner’s clinic and a five-stand warm-up will be offered. Garments by local Red Fish Brand Clothing will also be featured along with PFS crafts.
Entry fees are: sponsor a squad of four (includes signage) for $1,200; enter a team of four for $1,000; individuals, $225; spectators, $100; or station sponsor, $250.
All entry fees include a gift bag, lunch, clays, ammo, golf cart, and reception. We also offer sponsorships and underwriting opportunities and greatly appreciate your support.
