Hospice Care of the Lowcountry will offer advance care planning webinars on various topics over the next months to aid in preparing for uncertain circumstances.

The first webinar, Legal Planning, will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. July 17. Alisa L. McCray, attorney with Olivetti, McCray and Withrow LLC, will lead the event.

A living will is a legal tool to make sure one’s health care wishes are known in a formal way and followed. During the webinar, participants will discuss end-of-life decision making in light of COVID-19 and identify current challenges and opportunities for advance care planning.

Additional webinars include:

• Medical Planning, Aug. 14, led by Dr. Robert Bruillard of Hospice Care of the Lowcountry and Capt. Lee Levesque of Bluffton Township Fire District.

• Grief Support, Sept. 11, led by Barbara Scobey, MSW, and Charlie Tyler, M. Div., both of Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.

• Funeral Planning, Oct. 9, with Sheri Stahl of Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services, and Valerie Mayer of Island Funeral Home.
