For the eighth year in a row, Palmetto Animal League is giving folks a great excuse to shop during our Bid for PAL online auction.

This highly anticipated event is a unique opportunity to treat yourself and save homeless pets at the same time. All the funds raised benefit abandoned, abused and neglected pets in our community.

The Bid for PAL online auction gets underway at 8 a.m. April 21 at www.PALauction.org and continues through 10 p.m. April 24. Log on now and browse our online catalog filled with hundreds of sought-after items from all around the Lowcountry and beyond.

It’s a shopper’s paradise featuring a broad range of items donated by our area’s most popular animal-loving businesses. You can bid to win all sorts of awesome products and services, including golf packages, vacations, pet items, spa treatments, home décor, jewelry and more.

It’s a shopping excursion like no other, as all the proceeds help PAL provide a homelike environment for homeless pets until they find a family.

Pets such as Shiney. He came to PAL in 2011 as a 2-month-old puppy and was adopted within weeks. Some months later, it came to our attention that Shiney was living in an outdoor storage container, where someone was stopping by just once a day to feed him.

We moved quickly to bring this gentle giant back to PAL. Despite his ordeal, Shiney returned to PAL the same loving, sweet-tempered creature we had known as a pup.

After another stay at our Adoption Center, Shiney found his new family. PAL makes a lifetime commitment to dogs like Shiney and every animal that comes into our care – an assurance that they will never be homeless again.

We hope you’ll take part in the Bid for PAL online auction and help pets like Shiney by supporting Palmetto Animal League’s No Kill Adoption Center, located in Okatie’s Riverwalk Business Park.
