Presbyterian, United Methodist, Lutheran and A.M.E. churches in the greater Bluffton-Okatie area will gather together at noon each Wednesday through April 10, in the season of Lent for worship and fellowship.

A guest pastor from the area will share the message during the 30-minute service. Offerings received as part of the service will support missions and ministries selected by the host church.

Following the worship service, a light luncheon will be offered so that additional fellowship may be experienced. “These services offer people an opportunity to worship with each other in different locations and to hear different pastors from the community,” said Pete Berntson, pastor of Church of the Palms, one of the organizers of this series.

The first services were held March 6 and 13, at Lowcountry Presbyterian and at Lord of Life Lutheran.

On March 20, the service will be at Campbell Chapel A.M.E., with the Rev. Dr. Jon Black welcoming the guest pastor, Rev. Stephanie Dion of Lowcountry Presbyterian.

On March 27, the service will be at Bluffton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joey McDonald welcoming the Rev. Daniel Burbage of St. Andrew By-The-Sea UMC, Bluffton.

The service for April 3, will be at St. Andrew By-The-Sea UMC, Bluffton with the Rev. Daniel Burbage welcoming Rev. Dr. Jon Black of Campbell Chapel A.M.E.

The 2019 series concludes April 10 at St. Luke’s UMC with the Rev. Brian Preveaux welcoming guest pastor the Rev. Angela Jennings, of Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
