Palmetto Animal League’s 11th annual Bid for PAL online auction fundraiser will be held this year in August.

The auction offers a unique forum where folks can shop to save homeless pets. The 2020 catalog will include items across all price points.

Historically held in April, PAL’s largest annual fundraiser had to be postponed due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. Now, with more animals in need and less funding available to support their lifesaving work, PAL decided the auction must go on.

“Want to golf in Hilton Head, shop in Bluffton and dine in Beaufort?” asks PAL development coordinator Stephanie Bashaw. “Bid for PAL is a fun way to support animal rescue while browsing some of the best products and services in the Lowcountry.”

While this year’s Bid for PAL auction might be smaller in size, it certainly will not lack in excitement, and most items won can be shipped right to the buyer’s door. Items include animal sponsorships for those who just wish to donate.

This year’s auction will help PAL rescue more animals who have lost their homes amid the COVID-19 crisis and whose time is now up at other shelters. Register at and then Bid for PAL when the auction goes live at 8 a.m. Aug. 6 and continue to bid through 8 p.m. Aug. 9.
