Dr. Richard Mazo, a board-certified pediatric urologist, has joined the staff of Memorial Health University Physicians, Children’s Care GI & Surgery.

Dr. Mazo has been in private practice in Savannah for more than 30 years.

Dr. Mazo is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. He completed residencies in general surgery and urology at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, and a fellowship in urology at Meath Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Dr. Mazo also serves as clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah.

Children’s Care GI & Surgery, which also includes surgeons Dr. William Boswell, Dr. David Carney and Dr. Miller Hamrick and gastroenterologist Dr. Christopher Rittmeyer, recently moved into a new location on the campus of Memorial Health University Medical Center. The physicians now see patients in the Children’s Care Outpatient Center in Building 800.
