The deadline for registering to vote in the Republican Presidential Primary (to be held Feb. 20) has been changed from Jan. 27 to Jan. 20. The Beaufort County Board of Voter Registration and Elections was not informed of this change until Jan. 19. The League of Women Voters of Hilton Head Island/Bluffton Area regrets that the information it provided in a letter to the editor published on Jan. 20 is no longer correct.
The last day to register to vote in the Democratic Presidential Primary (to be held Feb. 27) remains Jan. 27.
