With this feature, we seek to capture a glimpse of what you and your neighbors have to say about a variety of topics, issues, events – and just plain fun questions.

You might find us anywhere around Bluffton with a camera and note pad, asking simple questions and looking for thoughtful answers. If we find you, we hope you will want to participate.

At Eggs ‘n’ Tricities in Old Town Bluffton, we asked: “If you could go back to any year of school, what year would you choose and why?”

Patsy Hodge, Bluffton: “The year I graduated from Ridgeland High School. I was majorette, football was really large and we had a great team. It was a great year of football, dating and going to dances.”

Carol Healy, Bluffton: “First grade, because I learned to read and to write my name. It changes your world when you can read.”

Luke Healy, Bluffton: “Freshman year at Clemson. It was like a new beginning, starting something fresh.”

Elizabeth Campbell, Morristown, Tenn.: “Freshman year of college, because that’s when I met my husband-to-be.”

Caroline Waters, Louisville, Ky.: “Sophomore year of high school. I went from a really small school to a really large school and last year was when I began to feel really comfortable and cemented a lot of strong friendships.”
