A blend of Gullah gospel, Latin-influenced music and American standards will take center stage Nov. 21 when Christ Lutheran Church and the Gullah & Latino Advisory Council present “Rhythms of the Lowcountry” on Hilton Head Island.
The concert, part of the Crescendo series, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church Hall, 829 William Hilton Parkway. Doors open at 5 p.m.
The program will feature local performers presenting a mix of Gullah gospel classics, Latin-influenced songs, jazz, pop, swing and familiar American standards.
Organizers hope the concert will bring together people from different cultural backgrounds through music while raising support for underserved communities.
The event is hosted by Christ Lutheran Church in conjunction with the Gullah & Latino Advisory Council, a fund of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, and other supporting organizations.
General admission tickets are $25 and will be sold at the door only. Cash, credit cards and checks will be accepted. Seating is open, with no assigned seats.
Groups of six or more may arrange reserved blocks of seating by contacting Terry Herron at 843-271-9919.
