Mandy Parsons, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry, was named the 2026 Woman in Business of the Year at the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce’s fifth annual Women in Business Luncheon on Oct. 22.

Parsons was recognized for her leadership and work to expand opportunities for children and families throughout the Lowcountry.

Since becoming CEO in August 2024, Parsons has overseen the organization’s growth from nine club sites to 13, with additional locations in development. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry now serves approximately 2,000 young people annually through programs focused on academic success, personal development and workforce readiness.

Parsons, who previously experienced the organization’s support as a parent, also serves as secretary of the Greater Bluffton Chamber’s board of directors and is a founding member of the Kiwanis Club of Bluffton.

“This event began five years ago with a vision to bring women together to celebrate their leadership and impact,” said Natalie Osterman, CEO of the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce. “What started with 128 attendees has grown to 335, reflecting the incredible women and businesses that make our community special. Mandy exemplifies leadership that creates meaningful opportunities for others, and we are proud to recognize her contributions.”

The other finalists for the 2026 award were Kathy Straughn, founder of Blessing Box Project Bluffton, and Sandra “Sandy” Benson, owner of CAV Integrated Home.

Nominations were evaluated by five Chamber of Commerce industry professionals from Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina, Idaho and Texas.
The luncheon was presented by Beaufort Memorial Hospital, with Balanced Wellness sponsoring the Woman in Business of the Year award.

The event, held at Montage Palmetto Bluff, drew 335 attendees, the largest turnout in the luncheon’s five-year history.

The Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit business membership organization that supports local businesses, economic development and community partnerships.
